What
material do I need to participate in a Step Study?
A Life Recovery Bible and the Celebrate Recovery
participants’ guides (set of 4). These are available for purchase at the information table before or after CR meetings
or on any Sunday. Speak to a team member or greeter.
Do Step Studies meet on the same night
as the Celebrations?
No. Step studies meet on a different night than the Monday night celebrations.
Initially, step groups will meet on Monday nights, but leaders and participants can determine alternate meeting nights
based on the groups’ schedule.
Are Step Study groups always open to new members?
Step studies accept new members for about 90 days (during the sessions based on the first book) and then become closed groups
so participants can move from foundational principles to advanced topics at the same pace. On the other hand, Monday night
open share groups are always open to new members.
How long does it take to go through the 12-step program?
There are 25 units in the Celebrate Recovery material and step groups usually take about 2 weeks per lesson. Most step groups
will finish the four participants’ guides in a year. It should be understood that, for many issues, recovery is a life-long
process.
